Welcome!

Welcome! Welcome to the new school year. Hopefully you had a wonderful and productive summer. As the 2009-2010 school year begins, we, at the East Bay Consortium realize you have a lot to accomplish in the coming months. We hope to serve as a valuable resource to guide you through these tasks.

If you are a senior, now is the busiest time of the year. It's your last chance to take the SAT or ACT, and SAT II tests. Check the ACT and SAT info link to find out when and where the tests are, and how to register. College Application deadline time is also coming up. Use our "Seniors To Do List" to make sure you have everything taken care of.
No matter what grade you are in, now is the time to start working towards your goals and planning for your future. We hope this website is a useful tool for you to accomplish all of the following tasks, and help yourself move further along the college path:

Browse through the Scholarship Directory to find the scholarships that are right for you and write to them for more information.

Take a look at the A-G Admissions Requirements and find out where you are on your path to college. If you follow the A-G requirements, you will be eligible for CSU, UC and most independent colleges.

Visit the References section of the College Info Library to learn how to get more information about the colleges that you are interested in learning about.

If you go to an Oakland Public School, find out if the East Bay Consortium offers tutoring at your school. If so, when is it offered?

As a California resident, find out what opportunities are out there to help you pay for college, such as the Cal Grant. And, find out what you need to do in order to take advantage of those opportunities.

Find out what outreach programs are at your school that you may become a part of.

Find out what you need to do in order to accomplish your dreams...

We hope that you have a productive and safe school year. And, we thank you for continuing to explore all of the opportunities that are waiting for you throughout the summertime!

Your success is our goal!
