Students must be of Portuguese descent on fathers\\\'s or mother\\\'s side and be a USA citizen or permanent resident. The student must maintain a minimum of a 3.5 GPA in high school and be a graduating senior of a California high school. They must meet all the requirements set down by an accredited university or college of the student\\\'s choice and have participated in at least three extra-curricular activities while in high school. Three letters of recommendation are required, as well.
