Specifics: This scholarship is renewable and intended for undergraduate study at qualifying California postsecondary schools. The applicant must be high school senior, U.S. citizen, permanent resident or eligible non-citizen as defined by federal financial aid programs, and must be residing in California. The applicant must also demonstrate financial need and high academic achievement. Continuing college students (freshmen, sophomores and juniors) must submit FAFSA to federal processor and GPA Verification Form to California Student Aid Commission. Awards are given to all eligible applicants. Applicants must have income and assets below established levels. Minimum 3.0 GPA for Cal Grant A; minimum 2.0 GPA for Cal Grant B. Cal Grant A provides tuition and fees. Cal Grant B provides access grant for first year and then both access grant and tuition and fees for second year. If attending a California community college, award can be reserved for up to two years until transfer to tuition/fee charging college, provided qualifications are still met.
