Specifics:

The Tony Patino Fellowship has been created to support those individuals whose personal and academic histories show leadership, good moral character, ethical conduct, good citizenship, motivation, and initiative. One of the factors determining character is past participation in public service activities. For this purpose, public service is broadly construed to include any activity, the primary object of which is to benefit others or the community as a whole. The fellowship will be awarded to an entering Hastings student who has exemplified the above qualities. Specifically, a candidate\'s personal and academic histories must show leadership; academic achievement; ethical and honorable conduct; good moral character; dedication to human values; participation in public service activities; well-adjusted personality; and sound judgment. The fellowship will provide educational and living expenses of not less than $8,750 per year.
