Full-time, semester undergraduate students. Eligible incoming freshmen students who complete the application for admission by the March 2 priority deadline will be automatically awarded one of the following merit scholarships. These scholarships are renewable for up to 4 years provided the student maintains satisfactory academic progress. Scholarship awards will be determined by GPA, rigor of high school program, and extracurricular activities and service. Regents’ Scholarships - This $10,000 scholarship is awarded to all incoming freshman with a GPA of 3.7 or higher based on your high school transcript upon acceptance. This scholarship is renewable for up to 5 years from initial entrance into HNU with a renewable minimum GPA of 3.0 President’s Scholarship - This $8,000 scholarship is awarded to all incoming freshman with a GPA between 3.2 and 3.69 based on your high school transcript upon acceptance. This scholarship is renewable for up to 5 years from initial entrance into HNU with a renewable minimum GPA of 3.0 Honors Scholarships -This $6,000 scholarship is awarded to all incoming freshman with a GPA between 3.0 and 3.19 based on your high school transcript upon acceptance. This scholarship is renewable for up to 5 years from initial entrance into HNU with a renewable minimum GPA of 3.0 Regents’ Transfer - This $8,000 scholarship is awarded to all transfer students admitted to the full-time semester program with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and a minimum of 30 transferable units. This scholarship is renewable for up to 3 years from initial entrance into HNU with a renewable minimum GPA of 3.0 President’s Transfer - This $7,000 scholarship is awarded to all transfer students admitted to the full-time semester program with a GPA of 3.0 to 3.49 and a minimum of 30 transferable units. This scholarship is renewable for up to 3 years from initial entrance into HNU with a renewable minimum GPA of 3.0 Aspiring Scholars Grant - This grant requires a minimum GPA of 2.75 with record of leadership, initiative, and service to the community as demonstrated on the application for admission. This $5,000 scholarship is renewable through demonstration of leadership at HNU and a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher Cal Grant A Incentive - Holy Names University will guarantee up to $6,000 from college funds for students who are eligible for Cal Grant A. To be eligible, the student must submit their FSFSA and the California GPA verification form on or before March 2, 2004. Any institutional award offered by Holy Names University will be adjusted to include the Cal Grant A or other outside resources Athletic Scholarships - Holy Names University offers athletic scholarships in all varsity sports that compete at the NAIA-Division II level. The Athletic Department in coordination with the Financial Aid Office determines award range from $1,000 to full tuition in combination with all other institutional awards. Awards are based on athletic merit, scholastic merit, and need. Music Scholarships - The University offers several tuition scholarships up to $5,000 for undergraduate music majors. Awards are determined by the Music Department in coordination with the Financial Aid Office. Selection is based on audition. Students must be full-time and sustain or increase their level of performance to remain on scholarship
